Public Service Announcement – Warming Centers in Sacramento
To complete the cycle initiated back in July that I wrote about here, we need to talk about how to get warm in Sacramento if you or someone you know is in need.
Again, the folks at www.211sacramento.org are on the ball with a list of places where people in need can find shelter from the sub-freezing temperatures we have been experiencing over the last week or so. Click on warming centers to get to a list of facilities that are available for those in need of shelter. Bookmark that URL as I am sure that the list is dynamic, expanding and contracting with need and availability.
Most of the marketing of these facilities/services is geared toward the homeless, because they are the most vulnerable to inclement weather. If you know someone in that circumstance, please share this information, (along with a blanket and coat if you can), it’s the right thing to do.
We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the Nation. See Equal Housing Opportunity Statement for more information.
